EROWA ITS – INTEGRATED TOOLING SYSTEM

The EROWA Integrated Tooling System (ITS) is a high-precision, modular workholding solution designed to streamline machining processes across various industries, including tool and mold making, precision mechanics, machining with immersion erosion (EDM), and chip-removal manufacturing. It provides quick and repeatable positioning of workpieces, minimizing setup time and maximizing efficiency.

With exceptional repeatability (0.002 mm) and versatile adaptability, EROWA ITS ensures that EDM, WEDM, milling, grinding, and measuring machines operate at peak efficiency. The system is available in two main sizes, ITS 50 and ITS 100, catering to different workpiece dimensions and machining requirements.

EROWA ITS Chuck

At the heart of the ITS system is the EROWA ITS Chuck, a pneumatic or manual clamping system that provides secure, stable, and repeatable workpiece holding. The chucking system is available in various configurations, including:

• Quill chucks (for spindle-mounted applications)
• Table chucks (for use on EDM, WEDM, milling, and grinding machines)
• Corrosion-resistant (INOX) models for harsh environments
• Manually and pneumatically operated options

The reliable clamping mechanism with self-locking ball lock ensures precise and firm workpiece clamping and does not unlock in the event of a pressure failure. Integrated air-cleaning system prevents contamination from chips and debris.

ITS Chucking Spigots and Electrode Holders

The ITS system integrates various electrode holders and chucking spigots, ensuring precise and secure mounting of workpieces and electrodes. The chucking spigots feature:

• Movable upper part for error compensation
• Ball-lock mechanism for repeatable clamping
• Flats for automated magazine engagement
• Sealing grooves for contamination prevention

ITS electrode holders allow for precise, repeatable positioning of electrodes in EDM applications. The square and round electrode holders provide stable clamping, reducing positioning errors and increasing machining efficiency.

EROWA ITS 50

The EROWA ITS 50 system is a compact, high-precision clamping solution ideal for small, intricate workpieces requiring ultra-fine accuracy and repeatability. It is widely used in wire EDM, sinker EDM, and micro-machining applications, where consistent and stable positioning is essential.

EROWA ITS 100

The EROWA ITS 100 system is designed for larger workpieces and high-load applications in EDM, milling, grinding, and automated manufacturing. It offers greater flexibility and load-bearing capacity, making it suitable for high-precision machining where the forces during processing are high (milling).
