Key Features of EROWA PM Tooling
The system supports the efficient and flexible conversion of powder presses. Single or multi-level powder presses can be equipped with PM Tooling chucks. Above all, this allows for a quick replacement of dies, bottom punches, and top punches. Consequently, this reduces downtime, ensuring that new compacted powder parts can be produced quickly and with ultra-high precision. Additionally, the PM Tooling system’s chucks are directly integrated into the powder press, requiring no further adjustments thanks to a specially designed alignment set.
EROWA PM Tooling systems are designed for ultra-high precision, with a repeatability tolerance of less than 0.002 mm. The quick clamping system also ensures accurate positioning of pressing tools, which are crucial for producing high-quality, compacted powder parts. These systems are engineered for high pressing forces and feature pallets that are indexable in 4×90° increments, making them ideal for use in multiple powder compacting applications.

Adaptable and Modular Design
The EROWA PM Tooling system offers several versions. This includes the PM Tooling Precise, PM Tooling Multi, and PM Tooling Hercules. They are catered to different pressing force and application requirements. The PM Tooling Precise system is used for compacting cutting inserts and metal powder with extremely compact frame sizes. The PM Tooling Multi is reinforced for larger extraction forces, making it suitable for metal and ceramic powder compacting, while the PM Tooling Hercules is built for the most demanding force requirements, using a slider principle to handle very high extraction forces.

Compatibility and Automation
One of the significant advantages of the PM Tooling system is its compatibility with other EROWA tooling systems. Hence allowing seamless automation of production processes, as the same tooling can be used across different stages of manufacturing, from milling and grinding to EDM and WEDM operations.
