LENZE GROUP

The Lenze Group comprises 46 sales companies, development and production facilities, and logistics centers across Europe, Asia, and the United States. The company employs over 4,000 people worldwide, including 300 individuals working in research and development at eight different locations. The Lenze Group manufactures drive systems, automation systems, frequency inverters, servo systems, industrial PCs, controllers, visualization products, gearboxes and geared motors, motors, systems, controllers, and software.

COMPANY HISTORY

Lenze is a German company founded in 1947, originally focused on the production of gears and mechanical transmissions. Headquartered in Hamelin, Germany, Lenze gradually evolved into a leading global provider of drive and automation technology. Throughout its history, the company has consistently expanded its scope and acquired various businesses—hence the term “Lenze Group.” Initially, the company specialized in mechanical drive technology. In 1950, it introduced its first product: an innovative three-phase AC motor. Over time, the company shifted toward the development and production of electronic drive controllers. In 1977, the Lenze Group introduced its first frequency inverter for controlling three-phase AC motors. The company began to market itself under the slogan “Drive meets Automation,” positioning itself as a provider of integrated automation solutions through intelligent drive technology.

In 2000, the Group established the software company “encoway,” which began developing configuration software. In recent years, Lenze has increasingly focused on areas such as mechatronics, advanced systems, and digital technology.

TRECON–LENZE COLLABORATION

Trecon collaborates with the Lenze Group in the field of process automation, where drive-positioning systems are frequently encountered. We have established an implementation partnership with Lenze, holding the status of “Performance Partner.” In practice, this means that, in addition to selling their products, we also handle the proper parameterization of controllers and the integration of Lenze products into various process automation applications—particularly those requiring precision, robustness, and system repeatability. Our specialty lies in sophisticated implementations such as flying saws, manipulators, and synchronized production lines
